What is IFS Cloud?
IFS Cloud is an AI-powered Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution. It provides a seamless experience across functions, roles, and devices. Designed for complex enterprise environments, it remains intuitive and user-friendly—similar to the consumer apps we use every day.
What is EAM?
An EAM typically stands for Enterprise Asset Management. It refers to the systems and processes used by organizations to manage their physical assets throughout their lifecycle—from acquisition to disposal. These assets can include buildings, machinery, vehicles, IT equipment, and more.
Key Components of EAM:
- Asset tracking: Monitoring location, condition, and usage.
- Maintenance management: Scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Work order management: Assigning and tracking tasks related to asset upkeep.
- Inventory and procurement: Managing spare parts and supplies.
- Lifecycle management: Planning for upgrades, replacements, and retirements.
Are Rapid Time and VIP also being replaced?
Yes. The functions currently handled by Rapid Time and VIP are now part of IFS Cloud.
The payroll module of IFS is part of the application and can be accessed through the web page directly. You will no longer have to connect to a virtual server and/or use ROAMs (Fortinet)
When will Implementation of IFS Cloud begin?
The IFS Cloud implementation officially kicked off on August 1, 2025, in collaboration with our implementation partner, Hoist. The project is following a 12-month timeline, with go-live planned for Summer 2026. The exact date will be finalized in late Spring or early Summer.
Will IFS Cloud be availalbe on mobile devices?
Yes. IFS Cloud includes mobile-enabled tools and dashboards, allowing FM teams to manage assets, view work orders, and submit time cards on the go.
Will this impact my work?
Your core responsibilities will remain the same. However, the new software may change how certain functions are delivered; ideally making access faster, more efficient, and easier to manage.
What training will be available?
IFS employs a train-the-trainer methodology as part of its implementation approach. Designated Module Leads will undergo comprehensive training and will be responsible for designing and delivering end-user training within their respective functional areas.
