Conference Room Technology

SSB 2347 (across from Cindi’s desk; Outlook calendar FM-SSB-2347-MeetingRoom)

  • Jabra Pancast conferencing technology now installed.
    • Eight professional grade mics remove background noise to provide a more clear meeting experience for those in the room and those joining remotely.
    • Three new 13-megapixel cameras have been installed to provide a wall-to-wall field of view in the room.
    • A remote (that looks like a hockey puck) has buttons to mute/unmute, adjust volume and camera zoom, and automatically centre camera on the active speaker.
  • ScreenBeam device(ScreenBeam Conference utility wirelessly connects the host device to the in-room peripherals and supports all major video conferencing tools).
    • This allows users to wirelessly share and mark up content on the room display without requiring an app or a physical connection. Instructions to connect are shown on the default screen as soon as you turn on the TV.

SSB 2312 (around back behind my desk; Outlook calendar FM-SSB-2312-MeetingRoom)

  • A new 86” HD LED screen (with upgraded camera, mic, and speakers) will be installed on the north wall.

SSB 2377 (new space behind the kitchen; Outlook calendar FM-SSB-2377-MeetingRoom)

  • Display and computer (with Jabra Pancast conferencing) now installed and fully functional.

GSB 114

  • Two new 86” HD LED screen (with camera, mic, and speakers) are installed on the west and east wall.
As always, please remember to log out (not shut down) whenever you finish using the computers in these rooms.

All these systems are quite intuitive and you’ll likely find the transition seamless, but Ramiro and the FM-TS team are certainly available to answer questions should you have any.
